In this article, I will be discussing about some of the themes you can follow or maybe used as a reference. I am assuming that you are here because you wish to learn how to organize your very own X-men party? The themes and suggestions mentioned here are more suitable for kids 12 years or below. However, if you intend to plan a birthday for children above 12 years, you might not actually find the tips here totally useless.
So just keep reading and maybe some brilliant idea might strike you. However you choose to do it, I believe there are some things you will need to keep in mind. After making that clear let’s move on. Well, the party can be actually quite simple and does not need to be expensive too. As long as you have the right materials, everything will fall into place eventually.
Decorations:
Okay, some simple decorations will be needed. After all, it is a theme party! So I suggest creating a welcome banner with a tagline/slogan suggesting that it is a theme party. For example, I might write “Welcome to Charles Xavier’s School for the Gifted Birthday Party”, “X-men Welcomes Everyone to John’s Birthday”, “X-men’s John Birthday Bash”, etc. These few slogans above are just some that I could up with now, but it definitely needs to be refined further.
If you can find an X-men table cloth, that will be even better. So far I do not recall seeing it in any shops, but you can try your luck finding it on the Internet. The worst case scenario will be that you’ll probably need to sew it yourself or you can get someone to do it for you. Depending on your sewing skills, it might take some time. My suggestion is to find iron-on patterns and as the name says it all, iron it onto a piece of cloth. You can try some of the specialized sewing shops you have around your neighborhood and try to find out if you can create your own customized one.
Games:
In every X-men birthday party themes, how can you miss out the most exciting part of the day right? Do not get this right, even the decorations and party supplies would not be able to save you. That is why I am here to prevent such a situation from arising. I do not claim to be an expert in theme parties, but I sure do know a thing or two about having fun. You do know that most parties have a piñata right?
In my case, piñatas are not very popular from where I come from (I have no idea why) but it sure looks a lot of fun. Why? Simply because it is an interactive game which all the kids can play together. You can get the birthday girl or boy to bat the piñata or pull the string piñata and treats will start to fall out if it is done correctly. Fun and treats are very popular with the kids. They will definitely have a good time! I have not heard of any complains from my friends when I suggested that they get a piñata.
Do not forget about the music when playing the piñata because music helps to create the atmosphere. As to what kind of music, I suggest probably a fast song to keep them pumping and excited. Another suggestion is to play water games, but that means you will have to get those water guns to play. If you have some, you can split your guests into groups and probably have a showdown like the X-men versus the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants (one of the villains in the comics).
