Where in florida should i go for Spring Break?
I am currently planning a trip for Spring Break. I currently live in Tampa, FL, so I am not interested in going to Clearwater since I live 10mins from it. I’m interested in going partying, drinking, bars/clubs, and getting some sun on the beach. I am also not looking to spend a fortune. I’ve been to Daytona and it’s alright. I’m currently leaning towards Key West. Any opinions? I am kind of weiry about Key West because I heard it’s a big spot for gay people, which I have no problem with, but I don’t want to go if it’s exclusively gay.
Key west is fun for the first time, but it gets boring after a while since its so small. I guess stereotypically there are a lot of gays there but there are a lot of gays everywhere, just like there are a lot of heterosexuals everywhere. Either way, you can’t tell the gay from the straight people – it really isn’t an issue at all. It also isn’t as glamorous as the stories and pictures make it seem. It seemed pretty redneckish to me, but the drive down is fun.
I personally like Miami best. Way better parties, better people, and much better beaches. Ft. Lauderdale has some beautiful beaches too, but the night life in Miami is much better.
