How is Partying in Ottawa on new years eve ? is it a fun and interesting party town ?
My Girlfriend and I who are both 19 are planning a trip to ottawa for new years eve. We are also traveling with another couple. Will we have fun ? is there lots to do and the drinking age is 19 correct ?
One great thing to do on New Years Eve in Ottawa is to go to Parliament Hill and see the fireworks reflecting off the snow at midnight. Some years the canal is open for skating by New Year’s, too, but don’t count on that. During the daytime, there are lots of museums to visit.
As to whether it’s a “party town” or whether the four of you can find bars, clubs, or pubs where you’ll have a good time in a crowd of strangers, I can’t advise you well there. New Year’s is tricky, because lots of places have a much different atmosphere than usual.
