party planning expos
already a pampered chef consultant and would like help?

I moved to this area a year ago when i had my daughter and I have like one friend…seriously. My mother has already had three parties for me and my friend had one. My mother’s friend did a party and my grandmother did a party. Now I am out of ideas. I have called guests and had no luck. Does anyone have any ideas? I looked into booths at fairs and expos in the area…but they are already booked with PC reps. I actually talked to a bar owner down the street who said I can throw a party there and advertise there…on a Sunday afternoon or something. I am planning on setting some stuff out during my garage sale in a few weeks. Does anyone have any other ideas? Everyone says to ask at college (I asked about posting a sign and can’t and asked about a vendor fair and they don’t have one). I don’t currently go to church and most the people in my school are barely out of high school and still living at home…not to mention that we don’t talk. The girls at daycare went to 1st

Hi Erika,

Althought I have never moved my business, I have know several consultants that have. I have been doing PC for 11 years, and I have a few suggestions that you may want to try.

First as previously mentioned, talk with your upline director, or recruiter. If there are not avaliable, then contact me. My email is in my profile. They should be there to help you. Start with your list of 100. Attend your team meeting. If your director isn’t near you, call him/her and ask that they arrange hospitality, so that you can get into a group that can help you along your road to success.

Secondly, I would not suggest selling on ebay or any other outlet like that as you know that is not allowed by the company and will get you in a little hot water.

Thirdly, there is a cd that is avaliable from the paperwork supply orderform that is called: Move it you won’t loose it that has suggestions on relocating. It’s avaliable for $2 and well worth the investment.

Ask from referrals from everyone that you know. I just has a past customer refer a gal who inturn had a $1300 show with three bookings. Not shabby for someone that I had never met.

Every place that you do business, leave business cards or old catalogs with a sticker that says call for a current catalog. Dr, dentist, beauty shop, bank, grocery store, just make a lit of everyplace you go to in one week. I have a list of places that you can go to from A-Z that I can send if you like.

Go “shopping for leads” where you talk to approachable people in the mall or at the grocery store. Tell them that you are new to the area and looking for people that may need your service. You just never know who is looking for a consultant.

Certainly take up the offer to have a show at the local bar, and do it as a grand-opening show, or promote it as a mystery host party.

As for the people at school, if they are not out on there own yet, ask them about their parents, or for any other referrals. If you don’t talk to them you can’t expect any outcome. Remember a “no” never hurts anyone.

There are numerous other things that you can do. Remember that you can have all the results that you want, or all the reasons that you can’t get those results. BUT you can’t have both. Reasons or results, you get to choose.

Good luck, and please feel free to contact me if you would like.
