Surprise Party Etiquette?

I am planning a very casual surprise b-day party for my husband. It’s going to be held at a local tavern in one of their private bars and I am unsure what I am responsible to pay. I know already I will be paying for the bar tender per hour, deposit and I am required to order two appetizers at a set price per person. I really can’t afford to pay for alcohol for everyone…and who knows what that tab would be!

try the wording on the invite “Cash Bar” so the guests understand they pay for their own drinks.

Also suggest on the invite that you put it the that you will pay for the first two appetizers anything else will be that guests responsiblility
