3. Go easy on the desserts

Conventional wisdom says that part of successful party planning business is to include smaller desserts. People oftentimes never finish full-size dessert portions at company dinners. So consider setting up a dessert station, and including smaller portions. This will help to satisfy those with a sweet tooth, while wasting less food. It’s an outstanding business plan!

3. Keep it casual to save cash

If you want to decrease the cost of a party, then do it indirectly by keeping the attire “business casual” when you party planning business. Basically, this is related to expectations. When the attire is formal, the guests won’t be expecting pizza and sodas. So by keeping the party “business casual” the guests won’t be expecting caviar and you won’t pass out when you get the bill. Keep in mind that you don’t have to spend a fortune to host an enjoyable business party.

4. Limit or eliminate alcoholic beverages

Eliminating them completely can prevent potential liabilities. However, you have some other viable options. You could limit the number of drinks to two. Another option is to limit the available drinks to beer and wine. Yet another option is to offer a single drink type to the party’s attendees. Ultimately, these options will reduce the party’s costs.
