party planning alcohol per person
Your suggestions on a non-alcoholic wedding reception substitute?

Some of you may have already answered the questions I’ve asked in the past regarding this. For those of you who haven’t, here’s the issue:

My fiance’s parents offered to pay for our wedding reception which I thought was extremely generous of them. However, because of the venue we chose, if we decide to serve alcohol, they will supply it but charge per person. We didn’t want his parents to pay for more than they should. Instead, we’re going have soda, water, juice, etc.

We’ve decided to plan an after party at a local bar instead. BUT …what can we substitute this for as our guests are mingling and congratulating us? I was considering a large fruit/cheese platter? Any other ideas?
Since when do you have to drink to have a good time? Geez!

Cheese is not gonna get you drunk lol JK

Since your In-laws are paying for the reception, can’t you and your fiance save up to have an open bar or buy a couple of drinks for your guests?
