We only go to college to party right? Let’s be truthful about it. Instead of throwing an every day party like you’ve always been to before, you should be ramping it up with a theme party to be remembered for. Try some of our college theme party ideas.
1. Hollywood – A Hollywood theme party can be further broken into smaller themes. A favourite movie, an actor or perhaps an oscar night? Your friends will appreciate the occasion to dress up as glamorous as possible and this theme is straightforward to throw as many of the props required, most people already have!
2. Toga – A Toga party is a college favourite due to it’s ease. All you need really is a bed sheet wrapped around you. Make sure you’re wearing sandals and little else! Try to recreate ancient Greece with your decor, pillars and busts etc.
3. Mexican – The Mexican party is an opportunity for singing, dancing and eating Mexican chow. The ladies will be expected to wear a Mexican fiesta dress, they are very attractive and they will love the chance to wear it. Also a lei will complete the outfit. Guys wear ponchos and sombreros, perhaps even a gun in a holster.
4. James Bond – Hire an Astin Martin for the drive way if in your budget. You can get a best of Bond theme music CD to create the atmosphere. The drinks, martini shaken not stirred of course!
5. Hawaiian – This theme should centre around a surf shack. Ideally this is where your company would make their own cocktails like the Aloha or the Hawaiian Heartbreaker. Scatter sea shells and coconuts around the place. The chow should be plenty of fruit on skewers, allow your guests to skewer their own from the bowls provided.
6. French – Let your friends know that to be authentic, they have to go a week without showering. Wear black and white horizontal stripey tops and berets. Drink fancy wine and devour cheese on French loaf.
