2nd birthday, Where to have?
I’m having my sons 2nd birthday in January. I live in Central Florida and I have no idea where to have it. I’m having a Diego Jungle adventure birthday… there will be about 20 kids (shoot me) and family… so about… 40 people all together (If I’m that lucky) Half of everyone lives in orlando, where as I live in Melbourne… an hour drive between us… So i was thinking about something in the middle. But where? I would prefer something indoors, but NOT Mcdonalds. Any suggestions or Ideas for Party stuff? Games, Decorations, etc?
I’m not from Florida so I dont know what you have around there, but for my daughters 2nd birthday (Which was Dora the explorer themed) we had it at a local healthclub that rents out a conference room and the gym. We were able to set up cake, food and presents conference room and we decorated with the typical streamers ( I did dora theme streams I found) and balloons. I got some poster board and drew a backpack and had the kids play Pin the Map on Backpack. As the kids arrived My husband greeted everyone in the conference room, let them take off their jackets and drop off presents and then we had my parents lead kids into the gym where I was, At two its hard to have alot of organized games so instead we had things like balls in the gym so kids could just play together and run around for the first 1/2 hour of the party. Then after that, most guest were already there and the kids were already tired out from running around we took them back to the conference room for food and cake. After that we did pin the Map on Backpack and did presents as kids were getting ready to leave. It was great and I think much more fun than trying to get alot of activities together. Plus the adults could stay in the conference room if they wanted to and it wasnt a room filled with alot of yelling kids.
