What’s the Edinburgh Hogmanay alcohol situation?
Hi all, I’m going to Edinburgh’s Street Party for the first time this hogmanay, and i’m confused about booze! Can you bring your own? If so must it be in plastic bottles (classy!!)?? I see there are a few bars on the street, but I imagine 4 bars for 100,000 partygoers means massive queues?!?! Anyone been before who can give me some good tips??
I got this reply earlier today from an email I sent via the official hogmanay website.
“You can bring in your own alcohol in plastic bottles but out of public safety no glass is allowed in to the arena, this will be taken off you at the entrance by the stewards if you have any.”
Not sure about cans yet, but have replied to the email and will update this thread if I get a reply
