Can you reccomend the best bars in Dublin?
We are flying into Dublin on the 30th, are staying at a hotel in Cardiff lane & would love to know which bars a couple in their mid thirties should go to? In our town in Scotland, you cant even get into a bar on Hogmanay without tickets, will it be the same in Dublin? We want lively fun, but not surrounded by teenagers!
there are a few new pubs near Cardiff Lane, go to Hanover Square, its near Windmill Lane studios.
But head further up the quays, loads of great pubs off Grafton Street, and I guess you’ll have to check out Temple bar
Youngish pubs are Redz (avoid) but most of the others are fairly mixed so you should be grand.
Most pubs will charge a cover charge for New Year, anything up to €20, so be warned, but maybe your hotel will have something orgainised. At least you’ll be able to walk back to the hotel from most of the pubs in nearer.
