Outside parties are not for everyone, but people from all age groups enjoy them. Kids particularly like parties outdoor because they can run around without breaking anything and expend all their pent up energy.
Parties in your backyard are great if you have the room and don’t mind a few plants trampled on by enthusiastic children. Another option is to take the kids to an outside amusement park or waterslide park if the weather is going to be nice, but not if it’s an overly hot day.
Kids also enjoy going on hikes that take them through trails and then to a park that has been prepared for their arrival. Hot dogs and potato chips, lots of fluids to drink, such as water, juice and pop keep kids hydrated and are most often enjoyed.
Winter parties can involve the same type of food, but usually you will need more of it. The most important things with winter parties is to make sure that all kids are dressed appropriately in layered clothing and bring extra mitts and socks with them. Hot chocolate and warm foods are also better ideas for keeping the kids energized and warm. Many parks have skating rinks, as well as places to cross country ski and toboggan.
Great outside party ideas include holding a carnival party, complete with a big top tent and carnival games. What would a carnival party be without real carnival food? Popcorn served in red and white popcorn containers, hot dogs, and cotton candy. You can even build a concession stand for real carnival authenticity! As for the birthday cake, perhaps you can bake a three-dimensional cake of your own.
