all emulation illegal?
ive been told emulating games such as atari, nes, snes, sms, sega genesis, dreamcast, ps1, ps2, gameboy, etc is all illegal and i dont doubt it but i googled ways to mod a nes controller because i was thinking of buying one and making it a fun looking flash drive or something and i keep finding forms on “buy your own usb nes controller for emulating nes games” if its illegal why would they be that stupid? and if nes is legal then how do they determan which is legal? is it when the companies are sold out and stop making them? is it when stores stop selling them and only online has them? is it all illegal? if any is legal which systems would be because it would be great knowing what i can download and take with me on my laptop for entertainment uses without braking any laws.
