What are some of the most fun things to do in Savannah?
My girlfriend and I are driving down to Savannah, GA and spending a weekend there. I am looking for 1 or 2 of the best things that we need to make sure we see while we are there. I know we are already planning on touring the Mercer house as we are both big fans of Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil. What else should we do?
Also, we are driving from Birmingham, AL on I-16, is there any good stops on the drive that we should make sure to see?
I always go to the Byrd Cookie Company every time I go to Savannah. Don’t miss it. Get on one of those open-air tour buses, and let them show you all the sights during the day. Go down to the waterfront. Be sure to wear sports shoes. It’s an original inclined cobblestone street. Be sure to eat at least one time at Mrs. Wilkes’ Boarding House. It is an experience you will never forget. Go to the Telfair Academy of Arts Museum. Try the Crystal Beer Parlor. Get some of their Crab Bisque. Yummy! Stay at The East Bay Inn or The Cotton Gin on Bay Street. There’s SOoooo… much more–oh, I need to tell you about the Juliet Gordon Lowe home.
