Fun things to do in Montreal?
Hi, my fiance and I are taking a trip in February to Montreal for a couple nights to celebrate our engagement. He has been to Montreal, but I have only driven through it on the highway on trips between Toronto and Halifax, so I don’t really know what there is to do there.
We are pretty strapped for cash right now, so we are trying to think of fun and interesting things to do there that are either free or cheap. Also, any good bars or pubs that we could go to. Any suggestions on nice but reasonable hotels would be appreciated too. We aren’t opposed to Best Westerns or other brand name hotels if it will save us money. We want a room that isn’t more than around $150 a night.

Depending on when you are in town in February, you can check out the Montreal High Lights festival (see link below). After all, festivals are what Montreal is famous for!
