A question to anyone outside the usa?
Ok so when you think of the country you live in do you think of diffident stereotypes of places within your country? I’m asking this because i live in the usa and when i think of the united states i can’t just think of one type of person because i start thinking of all the different areas like towns in the Arizona desert seems very different to me then a town california or ny or Pennsylvania. But when i think of other countries Ireland, england, etc. I tend to think of them more as one big mush of similarities. Fore example i live in nj so when i think of Newark(big city) i think of something similar to nyc except slightly more dangerous and less fun while when i think of a nj shore town i think of a sandy very lax town with lots of boats and fishing and still when i think of a town in the pine barrens i think of a wilderness town but i don’t seem to do that outside of my country. Do you do this in your own country? or others??
As Canadians, they stereotype us all the same – although we are also different from province to province. I mean, the complete opposites of Canada – British Columbia and the Islands – have different lifestyles. Even those in the islands have a little accent of their own. Not including big cities like Calgary, Toronto, etc. Not including the province of Quebec. Not including the vast territories.
I dont know, I dont think I stereotype much. Stereotypes were made for the uneducated.
