Winter break road trip near New York?

Where are great road trip destinations within 4 hours from NYC? Fun and adventurous places for college students.

That depends on what you are looking for. You’re not likely to find anywhere with more nightlife than New York. Atlantic City has a lot going on if you’re interested in that kind of stuff. Boston has a lot to do also. So does Philadelphia. For outdoor adventure, the Berkshires in Massachusetts have hiking, skiing, etc. Lake Placid is probably within 4 hours for similar activities. Also, the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. There’s probably not much nightlife in any of those places, though.
