Fun ways to prepare fruit?

I already know that fruit salad and fruit smoothies are a good way to prepare fruit. I just wanted to know some more creative/fun ways to prepare fruit?? Also, what kind of fruits are your favorite? What are good ways to make fruit last longer?

You can use fruits on veggie salads with some success. Try strawberries with a balsamic vinegar-dressed salad. (You can have more bitter greens and strong-tasting things… try mixed spring greens, walnuts, and feta… mmm.) Also, see about fruit soups. They can be sweet or savory.

You can try tarts as well. An easy way (but not as delish as from-scratch) is to use a pre-made crumb crust, top it with some vanilla pudding, then slice fruit over it). Strawberries and bananas can go into bread and muffins.

Other than that, there are tons of dessert opportunities, from pies to trifles to homemade popsicles.
