Moving to Milwaukee in January?
I’m moving to Milwaukee in January and I need to know the best places to live. I’m a new professional (22), so I’m looking for a cool place to live next to the funner parts of town (bars, theaters etc).
I’m looking for a house-type 1br apt next to some grassy area (want to get a dog). My budget is somewhere in the neighborhood of $1000 (30% of my net pay), though I’d prefer to pay in the $700-800 range. I’ve read that the downtown and east side are the best places to live. It’s also important to note that I’d like to live fairly close to where I work at, Rockwell (large employer in the area).
Thanks!
You’re going to be at Rockwell on 2nd Street or wherever it is? By the clock tower?
If that’s the case, then the east side might be a good choice for you. I suspect prices are pretty high though. Just don’t ask me for exact numbers.
If you’re looking to buy, there are tons of condos in the downtown area.
