Activities in Milwaukee?

Can anyone please tell me of any fun activities in Milwaukee… I am planning a trip up there in about a month.. Please include the following: clubs, bars, entertainment, dining, sight seeing…. Also, if you can name any Indian Reservations go to sight seeing… Thank you

i live in milwaukee, and it is a wonderful city!

depending on which weekend you’re coming, check to see if there will be any festivals then. check this website:

there are wonderful parks down by the lake that are great places for walking or picnicking.

i recommend that you take a tour of lakefront brewery, and go on a friday night if you can. they have one of the best fish fries in the city, and there is live polka music. it sounds cheesy, but it’s very fun. taking the miller tour is fun, too. it’s free and you get 3 free beers.

the best bars are in the brady street area (i recommend nomad). brady street is a little bit of a younger area (twenties, early thirties on the weekends). another area with good bars is the water street area. that is more of an “after-work” crowd, and maybe a little pricier, but there are fun bars there as well (mcgillicuddys, bar louie) the “clubs” are downtown; i don’t really like clubs, but i know people go to the ladybug club.

for dining, milwaukee is a “steak” kind of city. i recommend mo’s and 5o’clock steakhouse. if you like pizza or italian, go to joey buona’s, if you like mexican go to the walker’s point area, where you’ll have your pick (the best are la perla and la fuente). i also recommend comet cafe (on farwell ave.) and cafe lulu in bayview. (you can look all these places up on yellowpages.com to get the address).

try to go to a brewer’s game when you’re in town. miller park is very nice, very fun, and you can get tickets for pretty cheap. we have a wonderful art museum and many, many places to go see live music on the weekends. the summer is really a great time to come to milwaukee. hope you have fun!
