I need to improve my computer knowledge?
Hi, at my secondary school the IT lessons are really rubbish and boring, we do nothing interesting, for example today, we learnt how to edit our letter on microsoft word, fun! Our teachers are rubbish, well the ks3 one is, where can i go to improve my knowledge on all things computer? Like teachers rescources and stuff?
I agree with vichussmith that you need to know that stuff, but to spend an hour, changing text size, colour and font! When we did making websites we spent 4 lessons planning and 1 lesson making on dreamweaver, but the teacher didn’t know what to do, so no-oe did but me! I spent most of that lesson helping other kids.
There has to be someone you know who’s great with computers. Pick their brain whenever you can and also fiddle around with your home computer to learn things. Also, you can use a search engine to try and learn about terminology that you don’t know the meaning of.
As for classes being “rubbish,” you should just suck it up and pass the class. Not all classes can be exciting or interesting. And you’ll need to know how to use MS Word, Excel, etc, for most office jobs.
