When planning a party or special event there’s a lot to keep track of, from where you have it to what to eat. But it all starts with the invitations. Even so, sometimes invitations get overlooked and party planners find themselves scrambling to send out last-minute invites or add “one more guest” to the list.
Enter printable invitations. A modern option to budget-busting invitations from stationery shops, professional-quality invites are now available for events such as birthday parties, holidays, baby showers, graduation parties and even weddings.
Some invitations found online are ready to go as-is. Just print them out in PDF form, write in the information about your event, and send them off. Another option is a customizable invitation, which is often available at a cost of just a few dollars in .DOC form so it can customized in Microsoft Word and used again and again for the same fee. Some Web sites offer invitation designs in both quarter-fold and half-fold size.
Once you select and download the invitation you want, print it immediately if it’s a PDF. Then, just write the place, date, time and other relevant information before mailing or passing them out. If you’ve opted for a .DOC version, simply open Microsoft Word and choose “File” and then “Open” to open your downloaded invitation. Then, click on the placeholder text to activate the text box and replace it with your event information.
Usually, as your guest list grows, so does your budget. That’s not the case with printable invitations. Unlike boxed or packaged invitations from a stationery store, you’ll never run or have half a box left over.
Printable invitations also make sense in business settings, because most bosses would rather see you use a bit of their printer ink for those office baby shower invitations than run out to the stationery store on company time.
For the cost of a little ink, you can print as many invitations as you’d like! And say some last-minute guests get added to the list? You’ll never be out of invitations if you’ve saved the printable invitation to your computer’s hard drive.
