Does anyone know of any fun math make it and take it activities?
i have to create a MATH make it and take it activity which means somthing that can be shown to a teacher that then they can then take back to the classroom and teach their students, an example is showing how 2 sides of TRIANGLE added up must be greater than the side left over.. this could be shoown using different color length straws. any other ideas!!?? thanks a bunch!!
um im not too sure what you are really asking but i’ll try to answer to the best of my understanding. one question is, does it have to be a physical thing, like with straws and what not or can i be on a chalk board or paper? if you can do it on a paper you can have a bunch of shapes on a board or paper (with the approx angles/angels[i don't know how to spell] and have the class try to make a new shape from different shapes or angles [i think thats how you spell it]. like for example lets go easy, you have three shapes and one is a right angle and you have two or more acute angles that equal 90 degrees. have the students try to figure out how to make a different angles, to experiment with the math of each angle. like having a pie, 1 360 degree, or 6 20 degrees and a 40 degree angle. just a thougt. so if that doesn’t work email and explain some more to what your looking for i might be able to help you further.
