Fun Fact of the Day RE: Carbon Offsets and Dell Computers (did you know)?
Did you know that if you buy certain Dell Computer systems, through Dell, they give you an option to plant a tree to help offset the carbon dioxide emissions generated to power your new system?
I kid you not.
I was configuring a system today and I came across this option. At first I cracked up laughing…Then I had a thought: is big business beating the environmental extremists (who hate big business) at their own game? You know the old adage…”If you can’t beat ‘em join ‘em?” I am in manufacturing and I have noticed that companies are capitalizing on this “green” movement and it’s selling like gangbusters! And so, big business reigns supreme. All you have to do is sell a popular gimmick and it works! Kudos to Dell!
