question about nintendo ds?
hi..^^ Im not sure if i want to buy a nintendo ds or not. The games look pretty fun but then i dont know anything about the game system. Here are some of my questions.
1) are all games multiplayer( meaning online)? ARe some?
2) does internet work?
3) If i would go to the store right now to buy the ds how much money should i atleast bring including tax and a game?
4) what are some role playing games with good graphics?
1) There are several online DS games at the moment, some with more features than others. Among the most highly rated are Metroid Prime: Hunters, Animal Crossing: Wild World, Tony Hawk’s American Sk8land, Tetris DS, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, and, of course, Mario Kart DS. and look on the right sidebar for titles with “DS” listed next to them.
Note: You will need a wireless router or similar adapter to play online DS games; there is no internet connection port on the system.
2) If you mean any sort of internet browser, the DS doesn’t come with one. The Opera Browser is always an option, but from the reviews it’s been given, it’s not worth the price tag.
3) Roughly $180, perhaps slightly less or more, depending on the game you wish to purchase. DS games run anywhere from 20-40 dollars new (or if you go to Toys ‘R Us, you might find a few good clearance titles for even less).
4) The RPG on the system with the most advanced graphics engine is currently Final Fantasy III. Be warned, the game is a very traditional RPG experience, and if you’re not inclined toward level grinding, you might not like it. Other options are Magical Starsign or Etrian Odyssey (never played either, but both garnered above-average reviews).
