What inexpensive fun is there in downtown Detroit on Sunday?
My 15yo are going to spend the day downtown tomorrow, and we’re looking for a fun activity. What is there, besides the DIA?
There is so much to do downtown. For a 15 year old, I think you should go to the Ren Cen, the first 5 floors are a big shopping mall, with restaurants and all kinds of cool things to do. Also behind it along the river is a beautiful river walk, and it’s supposed to be nice out tomorrow, so that could be fun. There is also Greek Town, which is a lot of fun, and Campus Martius park, they have a nice out door cafe that should still be open. You could also head up to Bell Isle, which is only a 10 minute drive north of downtown up Jefferson, you could spend all day there. Also up Woodward is the Detroit Historical Society, which is one of the best places in Detroit IMO. Hope that gives you a few ideas, and have fun!
