Restoring saved game for Age of Empires II: The Conquerors Expansion?

Me and my friend have just been playing Age of Empires II: The Conquerors Expansion online vs each other in a exciting and fun multiplayer online game hosted by gameranger. But my annoying friend had to leave the game due to personal issues (hes a freak). But before he left we both saved our game hoping to be able to play the game at a later date. but upon trying to recover the game i dont know how to do this! i remember being able to do it with zone.com (which is dead) just wondering if i can do this with game ranger! please help. cheers.

1) Open age of empires, go to saved games, and start the saved game.

2) Then tell your friend your ip, and let him join via the game (so not via gameranger) by using your ip.

3) Next time, play on IGZones – http://www.IGZones.com . It’s like gameranger but a lot better, more players, anti-cheat, ratings, live tech support, tournaments and so on!
