But, why did they all join together, despite the fact that they’d have to take pay cuts and put aside their egos? It’s because they’re like brothers. They did it to be happy and have fun playing alongside their best friends.

its the perfect opportunity for all of them if theyre willing to take paycuts.
what i dont understand is that everyone, every year, talks about how their star player should take a paycut to bring in talent, yet that hardly ever happens. these 3 guys were willing to take pretty good amount off their contract to pursue something which has been lost in the game, which is to have fun playing ball with your friends. at the same time, they have a good chance to form a legendary team while keeping true to what the game was supposed to be, about having fun. everyone thats played ball before remembers those old days in the park where you used to play pick up games with your friends instead of going out and doing other things and because you just wanted to hang out and play some ball. this opportunity pretty much fulfills all that and still get paid while doing it.
