Just for fun…bad x-mas gifts? Caught regifting?
I was talking to a co-worker about awful Christmas gifts, poor reactions to gifts, and being cought re-gifting. I told her that (A) my ex boyfriend had purchased a Mr. Potato Head for me for our 2nd x-mas together, and (B), I bought my future MIL a Dooney & Burke bag last year (she was always fawning over mine) and she got me a $10 gift card to WalMart (I don’t even shop there?)
What about you guys? Bad gifts? Weird gifts? What is you’re worst holiday gift giving story?
My husbands relative bought us a Waffle maker. We never used it so we set up on a top shelf and he forgot about it. I, however, at least remembered who bought the thing.
A year later we with this family chatting it up and talking about things we cook for breakfast. My husband says “Gawd, we still have that lame little waffle maker your sister bought and we never even opened the box,” while looking at me. His relative said , “Hey! Didn’t I buy that?” I wanted to die.
