Jack & Jill shower questions…?
I’m the MOH in my friend’s wedding and my husband is best friends with the groom so we’re throwing them a BBQ Jack & Jill shower in June, but I had a few questions…
1. What kind of favors would be appropriate? (20-30 guests)
2. Do I need to mention in the invite that it’s a co-ed shower in some way? They were really hoping to get some more ‘manly-type’ gifts, and though I keep trying to explain to them people will bring what they want, I was wondering if I should just put his registries (at Lowes etc) on the invites?
3. Do I need to let all the single people invite a date? It seems silly to have people at a party that the bride & groom don’t know, but since they’re young and none are married I was worried it would get awkward for some people to come alone.
4. Anyone have a good idea for a fun dessert I could do besides a traditional cake for this occasion?
1. tiny bottles of liquor, beer cozies, mini fireworks, gourmet steak rubs & spices, flavored oils etc.
2. no, just address the cards to who you are inviting and they will get it.
3.you really dont need to invite dates to a shower. it shouldnt be akward if they are friends, right?
4. i think individual mousses in martini glasses look really cool, or trifle maybe?
