Fun out of the house family activites?
What are some fun family things I can do with my 1 year old daughter outside of the house (doesn’t need to be outdoors tho). We are tired of going to the library and park. The only thing I can think of as an example of what I’m looking for is doing things like strawberry picking (I live in a suburban area in NJ). Can you help me think of some ideas?
I don’t know what’s available in your area, but here are some ideas:
- the zoo
- some museums have outside areas
- botanical garden
- the beach (I believe New Jersey has some of those)
- an airport (to watch planes landing)
- a port / harbor
- hiking
- an area where there are horses to look at
- have a picnic
- walks around the block
- we have taken our kids to stores that specialize in selling fountains — they love it
