Have you thought about what problems of urban sprawl causes to human beings and other living things? Apparently, urban sprawl negatively impacts ecosystems , wildlife animals, and results in traffic problems. Especially nowadays, these problems have become more and more serious. Thus, some of urban planners created new urbanism movements to solve the problems to urban sprawl. Also, the community of celebration in Florida is a very successful sample for new urbanism movements.
Celebration emphasizes the community interaction. By building compact downtown and houses with porches, community planners attempted to encourage social contacts among residents. According to this idea, residents can walk on the street and meet neighbors easily. Even, they can sit on the front porch to greet neighbors walking on the street with a smile that could provide more opportunities to socialize.

Currently, there are many health related problems that are detrimental to the health of human beings, or other living creatures. Urban sprawl happens to be one of them. –(Briefly explain what urban sprawl is…one or two sentences.)– Urban sprawl negatively effects ecosystems, wildlife animals, and also contributes to some traffic related problems. Today, this problems has become more serious than ever. Although things seem to be getting worse because of urban sprawl, certain actions are being taken to work against it.
In order to fight the causes of urban sprawl and its negative results, urban planners have created new urbanism movements. –(Briefly explain what a new urbanism movement is…one or two sentences.)– The Community of Celebration in Florida happens to be a very succesful program in support of new urbanism movements. The celebration stresses community interaction. By building compact houses downtown and houses with porches, community planners are encouraging social interaction amongst residents. Because of this, residents can walk safely on the street and meet neighbors more easily. People could probably even sit on their front porches to greet neighbors that who are passing by exchanging words or warm gestures.
Thus, the organizations that are helping the cause are growing and continue to contribute, due to the gravity of this problem. All in due time, this issue will be resolved.
