What is the best Florida city for a long birthday celebration weekend?
My two good girlfriends and I are considering a long weekend vacation in Florida to celebrate our 30th birthdays next summer. What would be the best city for us to visit?? We want a city with good nightlife, great shopping, yummy restaurants, and beaches. We don’t want a place that feels full of college kids at spring break or retirees. Also, somewhere that won’t completely break the bank. Help!! Thank you!
I am a native Floridian and live in Southwest part of Florida. I’m glad that you narrowed down your search in what you want and do not want that helps alot. There are alot of places that are college hangouts so you don’t want that so here are a few, not in a certain order though. Sarasota, nice rest., lots of arts, nice beaches (Siesta Key). This is hard because anywhere you have a beach you are going to have college kids. I live between Ft. Myers and Sarasota and it’s nice in this area. St. Pete Beach and the area there is nice, Clearwater Beach area is nice, Alot of places are pricey if there is a beach nearby. But those I believe are fairly reasonable in prices. Marco Island down in Naples in nice with all that you are looking for but I think it might be too expensive. There are so many other ones but they would have college kids at. Good Luck and have fun. My e-mail is on my profile if you need to ask me any questions.
