Does anyone know of an authentic Oktoberfest in central Florida?
I was over on the east coast at the Space Coast Annual Festival in Brevard County last year and found frozen hot dogs, hamburgers, sausages, cotton candy, bud, becks and classic rock music. It appeared it was just another excuse to pull out the carnival rides and not focus on the culture at all. The Space Coast Annual Festival was certainly a place I would never recommend to anyone searching for a celebration of Prince Ludwig’s marriage to Therese. I surely don’t wish to experience that again and was hoping someone would be able to direct me to a festival where the focus is on Bavarian culture and not just another beer drinking carni’ event. Thanks.
I know of Oktoberfest in Oldsmar, FL which is in the Tampa bay area. It’s not huge though but its family fun.
