In general, how much does taking a roll of film to walgreens for the one hour processing cost?
I have pictures from graduation celebration that I need to develop and I want a good idea on how much it’ll cost before I go to walgreens.
It may differ from city to city. I suggest you call a Walgreens near you and ask them. Caveat: I had to stop taking my film to Walgreens because they would routinely promise 1 hr. and it may or may not have been ready the next DAY. Also, I’d pay a premium price for the service they advertised that was supposed to get rid of red eye and lighten dark areas, etc. Never happened and they would say they’d done their best but I found out from someone that the person taking the order either never checked the appropriate box or did it wrong. Wasted money–especially when I was having doubles made. Then there were the few times they lost film–once when I had the last pictures taken of a relative who died shortly after. I learned a lesson from that–either have someone else take the same pictures or have a backup camera for yourself so you’ll have a duplicate roll of film.
I was surprised the best place to get film developed was at Target. Good prices, done on time, photos come out looking good, etc. And it’s easier to kill an hour there than in Walgreens. At least you can get a soda, browse the book/video/music sections, or just wander through the store.
