The 1950Â’s began a new type of music, and your 50Â’s theme party needs to reflect that change. Since a decade of music and dress can mean an enormous difference, you may want to select a specific year or at least a five-year period. With the 1950Â’s, the beginning years was a slower trend in music without the rock beat, but as we entered late 1953, the trend was toward more rock style with the entrance of Bill Halley & the Comets, Elvis Presley, and Buddy Holly.
