Edinburgh hogmanay, new years eve 2008?
We are celebrating new years eve in Edinburgh this year. We have flights, hotel and street party tickets sorted.
Does anyone have any tips as we have never been before and are unsure of things like is alcohol available to buy in the streets that are cordened off, are there any bars or pubs open in that area also?
you can take your own alcohol only if it is in plastic bottles or in cans (beer etc)
there is bars on the street but they are a fortune! like £4 a pint!!
