HI! My Son’s 15th birthday is Oct. 21! For years now, we always pack up tons of friends and go to haunted houses and a haunted hay ride – we make a long night of it and on the way back we stop at some of the scarier ‘local haunts’ and tell the stories about them. It has turned into the event of the year and every year we get more and more kids begging to come and saving up their money! Last year we took his whole football team and the whole cheer squad I coach, plus about 15 other friends. I bet if you try that, you will really have a ball! Maybe you could do like we do, and make sweatshirts/sweatjackets that say “_______’s haunted bash ’08″ – really, it turns into quite a status symbolto wear at school the week after! My friend and I each have kids the same age, born 1 day apart and we started this tradition together. Being born in October has it’s advantages – end the night at an old barn with a bonfire and music. It’s bound to be a night to remember-we always do! Every year we try to top the year before! Start scouting haunted houses and halloween events to plan your night! Happy celebrating!
