Intuos3 vs Bamboo Fun tablets?

I asked in another question what kind of Wacom Tablet I should get. I narrowed it down to two…Intuos3 and Bamboo Fun.

The Bamboo is much cheaper, because it’s more limited than the Intuos 3 – it’s about half as sensitive as the Intuos and has half the resolution, the regular Bamboo doesn’t have an eraser function, it only comes in one or two sizes/colors (the Intuos comes in many combinations), the regular doesn’t come with a mouse or any software… etc. You can use the following chart to compare: http://www.wacom.com/bambootablet/compare.cfm

It looks like you’d be well off with the Bamboo Fun for the price, since you’re not doing high-end work, so you should probably go for that one. If you were planning to do work for a paying customer, you would want to invest a little extra money for a high-end tablet like the Intuos 3. The Bamboo Fun is intended as a beginner/non-professional tool, which is just what you’re looking for.
