Will My Border Collie Puppy?
So I’ve researched Border Collies for awhile and decided to get one, were picking her up this weekend and she’s 4 months old, has all her shots and has been wormed.
She has to sleep outside at night in her Petmate Indigo Dog Home (due to my boyfriends Mom not letting her in the house) yet during the day she’ll be with me constantly so I can tire her out with plenty of exercise and fun.At night if she wakes up and she has nothing to do will she tear up the yard or try and jump the 6ft fence? She’ll only be alone between 11pm (when it’s time for bed) and 5am (when I come to take her out) Will she be okay?
I’m usually against dogs outside ( I’ve kept all my dogs inside my whole life) but in this matter I don’t have a choice.Besides we live in Fresno it’s barely ever cold and she’ll have plenty of human interaction she’ll just have to sleep out there at night.
You do have a choice, don’t get the puppy. Young dogs, any dogs but especially young dogs, should not be made to sleep outside. That borders on neglect and abuse in my book.
